13. Sensors

ServiceBack integrates with sensors to collect and display production telemetry. Connectivity options include the Zigbee and Thread wireless technologies, MQTT, and the OPC UA, Modbus, and PROFINET industrial protocols.

Sensors are linked to specific equipment. Thresholds can be defined for readings, and ServiceBack can automatically create an equipment-linked request when a threshold is exceeded.

The platform continuously checks data validity and freshness. If communication is lost, it displays the sensor status, the most recent valid reading, and the time at which that reading was received.
