4.5. Equipment Spare Parts

Spare parts in the equipment card

The Inventory tab in an equipment card is used to monitor spare parts, consumables, and their usage history for that specific asset. It has two views: Catalog and Consumption.

Catalog​

The catalog lists every inventory item linked to the equipment. Each entry shows its image, name, part number, current and minimum stock levels, storage location, and unit of measure.

Users can search by name or part number, switch between card and table views, and open an inventory item card for full details.

Consumption history​

The Consumption view records the item used, quantity, transaction date and time, related service request, and the equipment runtime at the time of replacement. When stock is issued while closing a request, the history links back to the work performed and the reason for replacement.

Component service-life monitoring​

Runtime captured at issue time makes it possible to determine average component life, actual runtime to replacement, frequently replaced parts, and equipment with unusually high spare-parts consumption. These insights support procurement planning, maintenance-schedule adjustments, and early identification of assemblies requiring attention.
